While many anticipate the rising costs of tuition, many are shocked by the astronomically high costs of college textbooks. Its hard to rationalize spending so much money on a textbook that you will only use one semester. Thankfully CampusBookRentals.com understands the world of the starving student. Campus book rentals allow you to rent your college textbooks, such asPrescott’s Microbiology, for a fraction of the price of actually buying the book. If you fall in love with the book and want to keep it, just pay the difference and the book is yours. In order to fit the student’s schedule the books can be rented on a semester, quarter or summer basis, and the rental period doesn’t begin until the book is delivered to you. If you need to keep your textbook just a little bit , in order to have one last study session for that big final exam, take advantage of the 15 day grace period which applies to all rental periods and should be sufficient to carry you through to the bitter end. Renting a textbook is as good as owning it as you can feel free to highlight in it, and with free shipping both ways you are not stuck with the with the hefty postal charges. With a 30 day (after order) 100 % money back guarantee, ordering textbooks has never been easier; if only the same could be said for the school work.<var id="yiv1547378515yui-ie-cursor"></var>

I would like to sincerely thank Firefly Toothbrush for the help they are extending to CDO Bloggers Inc, for our outreach and feeding program at Cadayunan Primary School. I am so happy that they have sent in my request of toothbrushes for the kids and I am so thankful that the kiddies will be getting them as part of their Christmas loot come December 16, during their Christmas party at school.

Firefly Toothbrush is known for their unique toothbrushes designed for the kids to learn how to brush properly and enjoy each brushing session because of the musical toothbrushes as well as the light up designs. I am so happy that the kids at Cadayunan Primary School will be able to enjoy their toothbrushes.. What a wonderful healthy Christmas for their teeth…

Oh, to top that, inside their loot bags they will also find other health and wellness products like a toothpaste to match the toothbrush and all others.. The dentist will love us, lol.. Seriously, this project by CDO Bloggers Inc is such a challenging and humbling experience… The kids there deserve all the help we can give them. And that is why after the December 2 event, we shall again give them love on December 16.. Right at the heart of their Christmas celebration at school.. The kids will be very happy..

Teens pay the highest rates for carinsurance because of their inexperience. Still, some of the tips below can make a real difference for teens looking to cut carinsurance bills.

1. Make It Used

A used car is cheaper to repair and therefore cheaper to insure.

2. Do Not Buy for Looks

As much as your young driver may protest, get them a practical and safe car instead of a sports car or fancy import. Insurance is much higher on sports cars because of how expensive they are to repair. There is not much of a point in owning an expensive car if you cannot even afford to insure it. Plenty of models are easy on the eyes and the wallet. Look at the Independent Insurance Institute’s website for examples of cars that are safe, dependable and that your teen can love.

3. Assign to One Car

Tell your insurance agent that your teen drives just one of the family’s cars. It is possible to have them assigned to just that one car and only pay higher premiums on it, rather than on all the family’s vehicles. If you have a choice between a luxury and a practical car, pick the practical one.

4. Pass a Driving Course

Sign up for a driving course and bring in the stamped completion certificate to your insurance agent. They usually offer a discount.

5. Get Good Grades for Lower Rates

Insurance companies rewards student with good grades by offering lower rates. You will need to keep a B average or higher for these reduced premiums.

6. Get Added On

It is almost always cheaper to have parents as primary insurance carriers and to add on the teenager to their plan than it is to have them get their own insurance. The only time this is not the case is if both parents have bad driving records themselves and drive fancy, expensive cars.

7. Higher Deductibles Mean Better Rates

If you are confident that your teen is a safe driver, this can save you a lot up front. Raising a deductible will clear the insurance company of more responsibility in the event of a crash. They are often very willing to lower the cost of your insurance coverage, but you can lose a lot of cash if your teen gets into an accident.

8. Do Not Get Distracted

All statistics find that new teenage drivers are up to six times more likely to get into a collision than a 20 year old. To keep your insurance down you will have to be serious about not texting, talking on a cell phone or getting distracted by friends while driving.

9. Get Lots of Quotes

Many websites offer quote comparison. Make sure to actually check their competitors’ rates on their sites instead of just believing all quotes given. You would be surprised how much you can save when you compare auto insurance quotes from several companies.

The final tip: Every six months compare quotes again to make sure you are getting the best rates possible.

Interior Design Online is getting to be very familiar with college students who would rather study at home. I have read about a lot of Online Interior Design Schools, and Online Interior Design as a course, and I am quite impressed that Interior Design Online is giving the same opportunities to its graduates, similar to those who have studied at universities.

Well, the basic lessons are taught similarly with modules and all. And though Online Interior Design is done at one’s own pace and at one’s own environment, still, Online Interior Design allows for teacher conferences and consultation. Which is truly nice. Well, Online Interior Design Schools make use of what available technology there is. I know of some Interior Designer Wannabes, and I swear, I am tempted to convince them to enrol at Online Interior Design Schools for their peace of mind and at the same time, allow them to have great savings in their educational choices.

There is nothing more beautiful than the experience of pregnancy and giving birth. And if we talk about Pregnancy and Birth, surely, all would unanimously say that it is in fact, the most dangerous experience every woman goes through, as it may take a woman’s life in the process. All the more if she is not prepared to give birth or to go through with the pregnancy. There are many reasons why one is not prepared for pregnancy, and somehow, this infographic on Pregnancy and Birth in the US may give you some hints.

As an educator, and a mother, I find that we must educate children, ours and all within our communities about the importance of preparedness for Pregnancy and Birth, both the soon to be mother and father of the child.

Ireland’s pre-schools have never been so good. Pre Schools Park West offers all kinds of services for toddlers of all ages, just as so they are prepared to enter primary school.

Each category for children depending on their age has their own room. This is to make them mingle with the kids that have the same interest as them.

For toddlers of 2 to 3 years of age, they will need a more structured play and learning environment. This period is actually the transitional time where you can see your child developing and changing. This includes their speech development and also the vocabulary they know. The caring staff will enhance this skill as to how they should put together this words and form sentences. Also, having a good behavior as they learn the things they are allowed to do, and not allowed to do, and being involved in educational activities will be a great starting point in entering pre-school.

Giraffe Childcare and Early Learning Center located in Park West and other cities in Ireland has the best reputation in terms of childcare services. They offer full-time or part-time schedules and have the best staff service. Children will be at different stages towards achieving learning and development goals and has different ways of giving attention. That’s what Giraffe Childcare prioritizes – for your child to be at their best.

Guys, I posted two weeks ago about the freebies I received or should I say, I opened when we arrived from Camiguin..

Well, it is only two weeks after that both Lili and Ira have tried their toothbrushes, so I guess it’s already high time to make a review.. I waited two weeks to see how the toothbrushes affected my daughter’s and niece’s brushing style, and interest..

Since they have been exposed to Hello Kitty stuff, they of course liked the tooth brushes.. I personally love them, but unfortunately, they are for kids and not for adults, so I just have to enjoy myself look at them intently as they brush with delight.. The gentle bristles protect their gums from bleeding and the handles come with a suction cup that allows for the toothbrush to stand.. The cute Hello Kitty Sculpted with suction feet to stand up at the counter (P119 Watsons and SM), is what makes my niece really excited every time.. Her toothbrush is the one in the middle.. Cute isn’t it?

My daughter’s is the one on the right, the Hello Kitty Light up Timer Toothbrush (P189 Watsons and SM).. Just like her Firefly toothbrush, the brush has a light that lights up for 1 minute.. She just loves that.. So she excitedly brushes her teeth, as always..

Since they were made to bring toiletries and grooming kit, I let her take the Hello Kitty Pedo Kit that comes with a Pouch, Toothbrush, Cap, 4 pack flosser (P 170 Watsons and SM) too.. That way, if she needs to brush in school, she will also love brushing there.. By the way, the tooth brush in this kit is similar to what you see above left, the Hello Kitty Suction to stand up on the counter (P99.75 Mercury).. With the pedo kit, I still have an extra toothbrush in case Lili will need one more Hello Kitty toothbrush..

The toothbrushes you see is the Hello Kitty Oral Care Line of FireFly.. They are actually out in the market already. I checked, thus the indicated prices and well, they are in fact selling like hotcakes.. Oh love the cutesy Hello Kitty Toothbrushes— all of them have their own toothbrush caps, all with Hello Kitty designs too…

So mommies, what are you waiting for? Get your kiddo her Hello Kitty Toothbrush now.. Hmm… for boys, there are also other designs available.. I saw a Spiderman Toothbrush, and of course the original designs from Firefly… They are all worth it..

This is my second entry for this meme. A lot of people around here enjoy a friendly gamble, and this particular day was an excellent example of how much people love fun and free money in my culture. I have many other would-be entries, but I chose this because I know there isn’t anything like this outside the Philippines.. Mabuhay! When I took this photo, a group of teenagers gathered for their weekly bingo game, prior to their Leaflet Distribution. The prizes are often varying amounts of cash-money for winners and there is always good food around, ensuring an entertaining game is a win for everyone… I tried to hurry and take a clearer shot before it could get too crowded.

When I lived in Camiguin, my cousin had been inviting me to join her and her friends to walk around Mambajao in the morning as well as in the afternoons. Many times I wanted to go, but for so many reasons, I have not been able to. I guess it’s because I have an erratic schedule, which I could not control. The times that I would have been available, it rained. Ha! even the heavens were working against it. Anyhow, I survive because of the Weight loss Pills I have used. I find that they are indeed effective, but I could have lost more if I did some exercises.. I know so many will disagree as NOT all are in agreement with the use of weight loss pills or diet pills, because apparently, NOT all are effective. There are some that are actually bad for the health. And still others are best used with doctor’s approval. Like, my father is using one that is recommended and prescribed by his heart doctor.

So, who have used Weight loss Pills here? Have you tried Irvingia Weight loss Pills? A friend of mine has recommended it to me and I am actually in the process of checking that out..

I found out that among its ingredients are seen on the image below:

What do you think?

My friend said she has lost pounds and cholesterol test results dropped.. Quite good, I suppose. But then again, I still think that I need to know more about this product. I checked their website and saw that people are testifying the same. Perhaps a talk with a physician regarding the product can enlighten me further.. I guess people who are interested about this would be delighted to know that buying from the site means they can get the product on buy one take one plus it gets automatically shipped. No waiting longer than all other orders online. It costs only $24.95, and even international orders are welcome.

Hmm.. Sounds good to me. But I will have to talk to the doctor for its contents. That’s how I buy my supplements, ladies and gentlemen. I look into the ingredients and ask professionals before I plunge in..

How about you? Do you do the same? Do you also find the good in foods and food supplements before you buy them? Surely, we must be vigilant about what we take into our bodies as there are a lot that can do more harm than good. I am sure you know that…

I have cleaned my blogroll as I found out that some who have exchanged links with this blog, have deleted this in their blogroll. It could be because we do not go to the same church, or have the same religion, or maybe because we do not have the same race, skin color or that we talk a different language.. Either way, I have also deleted said blogs from my roll. I think that is fair and square.. People ask to exchange links for reasons that they wish to increase online presence or make use of the benefits of linking with blogs with high PR to increase their own.. How unfortunate that said people do not take their share of the bargain. Of course, there are also those whose domains have not been renewed, and are now dead links, that I have removed.

Now, if you have linked this blog in your roll, and you do not find it in mine, please let me know so I could add you. If we have agreed to exchange links, I may have linked you at my other blogs, so please let me know, so I can correct that..

Do you know anyone who has used Zoloft? For those who do not know, Zoloft is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant drug that is said to be used for treatment of depression as well as obsessive compulsive disorder. It is also used for premenstrual dysphonic disorder, panic disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, and social anxiety disorder. If a pregnant woman have taken Zoloft, chances are, the child born may actually experience zoloft side effects. According to the page I read online, birth defects that is connected to the use of Zoloft include pulmonary hypertension, heart problems and a host of other issues.

Well, Zoloft or not, pregnant women should learn to care for their bodies as well as their unborn. Whatever they take in will always have an effect towards the child later on..

Well, I have been sick since the week before Lili’s graduation and after my birthday. That explains the absence from blogging. Although I have been around, but mostly for tasks that needed to be finished. And because I was sick, I actually allowed a few tasks to expire, as I could no longer finish them while coughing out loud and finding means to breathe.. Hey, I am not dying or anything, but this cough and colds is killing me! Hahaha..(let me just laugh it out here without ever coughing.. wink)

So what did I miss? A lot actually. I have started joining memes, but due to my absence, I failed to join them continuously. But that’s just okay. I can still join them in the next meme week.. Though there are some that have been scheduled but were never posted as part because I forgot to link them..

Anyway, I am now starting to become alive again, although I am not fully well yet. And I so hate what greeted me today. This video shared by a fellow mommy blogger at our secret hiding place in Facebook. I will not add the video in this post as you can find them in You tube.. Instead, I would like to redirect you to a worthy post by another mommy blogger. You can view the video from there… CLICK HERE for Momblogger’s post. Simply put, I share her sentiments. I am actually speechless as I watched the video.. It was like watching my daughter or my baby brother while being assaulted and humiliated, but I could not do anything about it. But then again, my daughter or my baby brother wouldn’t be in Willing Willie gyrating and being laughed at for money, because they do NOT have to do that. Responsible parents would NOT allow anything like that to happen to their kids and family… Responsible parents and family will, at all costs, protect the rights of every child…. Such a disturbing scene breaks my heart…

I wish someone would file a case against Willie Revillame.. He has done so much to destroy a child’s innocence.. Bluntly put, it’s Child Abuse… and clearly an act of violence against Janjan… I do not know if there is a provision that will allow anyone not related to Janjan to file the case. I think there is… I think I read that somewhere, will check for it though. But hey, it’s on national television.. The MTRCB and DSWD should do something about this.. Rescue Janjan from his family and relatives.. I am sure, every person with his or her right mind would agree.. And those who say that it is purely entertainment, SHAME ON YOU! The video is another addition to giving a bad impression towards the Philippines and every Filipino..

Just imagine.. the usual fare would be P 20, 000.00 the least, but with this seat sale, we only paid P 2708.00 for a round trip deal. Amazing isn’t it? If you wish to do the same as the promo is only until September 22, 2010 in booking, visit the website.. www.airphilexpress.com

Did you recently graduate from college and is, right now, looking for a job? Do you know where to look for a job? Sure, there are many websites that cater to that, but do you honestly believe that they are legit? Well, be careful as there had already been a lot of victims here in the Philippines. Illegal recruitment is rampant. There are too many illegal recruiters that lurk, especially in the rural areas and the rest of the countryside.

As a solution, I have discovered a site that may help you in your search. Job Search Today will provide a list of all possible vacancies for all of you out there who want to apply for jobs with a good pay and great benefits to match. It is a site promoted by Empowered Mom as its Job Listing anchor.

Aside from the the job seekers, the site also welcomes people to post jobs for a minimum fee of $10 that is good to run for 30 days on the site. There are also Job Posting Packages available at Unlimited Job Posts from July 16-August 16, 2010 for $200 only. With the said amount, you can post as many jobs as you can within the period. All you have to do is use CODE: UCOZ5CKV16. It will be a great way to save on costs..

The eight Vis-Min Blog4reviews Bloggers were invited to witness the launching of Alaxan FR’s and DOLE’s Search for the Toughest Jobs Philippines last May 26, 2010, and we were housed at the Jupiter Suites Hotel in Makati City. It is a very cozy hotel right at the heart of Makati City that is known for those who go on a budget travel in Makati City. But guess what, it is more than just being affordable. It is also communications friendly. You have 24 hours free use of the telephone line plus, it is the only Makati hotel with free internet. If you go to other hotels, you will be charged for Internet access.

See our room, Mommy Phebie’s and mine:

The room was our sanctuary and refuge from the heat while it continued to be very warm and humid outside. We enjoyed an air-conditioned room with 2 huge beds and a 3rd bed which is a single bed— that could actually accommodate an entire family. Well actually, Mommy Phebie and I shared a Family Suite. Family Suites will cost only P 4,580.00 a night. Other bloggers like April and Keiven from Davao, each stayed in a Standard Suite that costs P 2,980 a night, while others like Junelle and Mj from Ilo-ilo, or Jorich and Clarence from Cebu, shared Deluxe Suites. Deluxe Suites cost P 3,580 a night.

Personally, I loved the hot and cold shower for I am always taking hot showers and baths even at home. But this time, I need not heat water as it casually flowed in our shower room. Hot baths are soothing and relaxing especially when I feel dead tired after a day’s work in front of the PC.

Another great advantage of our stay at Jupiter Suites is the fact that we have continued our online tasks right inside our room as they have available WIFI connection. If for some reasons a guest is not able to connect to WIFI, they will provide you with LAN connectors to easily get Internet access. Now, if for example you do not have a laptop with you, but may need to go online, they have a business center where you can use their PC for free and it is just within the building so it is safe. And speaking of safety, a 24 hour security is assured of all guests at Jupiter Suites.

Mommy Phebie and I bought foodies like brownies and candies that we freely placed in our refrigerators to keep them cool, and drinks are readily available to match them. I noticed that the price is even cheaper compared to other hotels I have checked in. Coke in can and bottled water is only P 33 each while it will already cost P 45 in other hotels.

Oh, and the closet are huge enough with lots of hangers so you can really store your clothes and stuff to keep things tidy. And the best part, I love their fresh clean sheets that when I sleep and cover my face in them, I could almost instantly drift to dreamland..

The staff are courteous and you could actually leave your precious stuff without worrying if some burglar may rob you of such things. But then if you really want to make sure your stash are safe, you can go ahead and request for a Safety Deposit Box. If you wish to check room availability ahead of time, go ahead and email them at frontdesk@jupiterarms.com or call Tel. (632) 890.5044 to 50, Fax (632) 890.5019, or drop by at #102 Jupiter St., Bel-air Makati City Philippines.

The next day, we enjoyed a hearty complimentary breakfast with matching free newspaper, before going to the Manila Ocean Park. Before I end this post, let me share this video I found on YouTube..

When one travels by car, or truck, and it is a long drive ahead, one must check the wheels of his vehicle. Well, actually, even for short drives, wheels need to be checked in the same manner. They should be in good shape and the connections must be checked as well.

I remember, one time, we were headed for my mother’s home-city and we had to take a 3 hour drive as early as 3 in the morning. So the night before, the cars were checked, especially the wheels. Unfortunately, we woke up late and found out that someone tried to steal the wheels of the Red Lady Bug.. the connections were loosened, that if we woke up earlier and went ahead with the journey, something bad may have happened to us.. So, after that incident, the boys, my father and brother, would check the cars’ wheels the night before and, of course, the wee time before they will hit the road. Better safe than sorry..

I hope all of us will take that as a precaution. So it doesn’t really matter where you bought your car wheels, the most important thing is that, they are properly attached and properly molded. What’s with shiny or colorful wheels, if they will cause the driver his life?
