FROM MY KITCHEN: BANGUS IN TAOSI
Wednesday, July 6th, 2011This is one recipe that I sometimes do not like to prepare, mainly because I do not like taosi that much. But, on certain moods and occasions, I crave for this delicacy..

Ingredients:
Bangus (whole)- cleaned and lightly salted..
lots of Chinese Onions and Garlic
Ginger and Bell Peppers (red and green)
Taosi (salted black beans)
Pineapple Juice
Procedure:
In a fairly large sauce pan, saute Garlic, Onions and Garlic. Add ginger and bell peppers. Place the fish in the middle of the pan and pour in the pineapple juice, making sure that the entire fish is drowned with it.. simmer..
Add taosi .. simmer..
Remove fish and place in a serving dish..
Reduce the remaining juices in the sauce pan. When done, pour it over the fish.. Garnish with freshly cut onions..

When the beef is tender, saute garlic, onions, leeks, and some chillies in vegetable oil. Add in the prepared tenderized beef, and add vinegar, soy sauce, basil leaves, bay leaf, and all other spices of your choice.. Use powdered pepper, black or white rather than the cracked pepper corns.. Simmer, taste and serve..
