Prepare Your Kids for College
Friday, June 11th, 2010Are you a parent who want to see children succeed in life? Well, if you are, then I suggest you start them when they are young. Help them realize the value of finishing a task and doing tasks by themselves. In my years as a teacher, I have seen a lot of parents make the mistake of providing everything for their children. And because they are provided everything, they see no point in doing tasks themselves. Ending up in becoming lazy and ultimately stubborn in their dealings with their teachers and classmates. In college, these kids end up hopping from one course to another and even spending extra years without finishing a degree in the end. Good for some who wake up earlier than the worst example, who take time to research college degrees before enrolling and finishing on time. The most frustrating scene by far is the student who knows that their family needed a push, parents doing everything to send him to school, yet acts like a brat and abuses his parents hard labor to end up in dust.. sad.. but true.. And there are many of them..
