MISSED OPPORTUNITY

I got this on my email but have read it too late, hence I was not able to attend…

Hi Dharlz,

I would like to introduce myself. I’m Kristine Facto and I work with Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide Manila. One of our current clients is Kumon Philippines, which as you may know, continues to help children and their parents maximize their full potential. More than developing the child’s skills in Math and Reading, Kumon aims to instill what it calls Life Skills — which include time management and discipline — while the child is still young. Kumon believes that by building on these Life Skills, children have the ability to grow and become productive members of their community.

In line with Kumon’s goal of helping parents assist their children as they grow, we would like to invite you to join us for a discussion about parenting over lunch on September 5, Saturday, 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Roadhouse Cafe at SM City Cagayan de Oro. Aside from Kumon Philippines’ representatives, we will also be joined by DLSU Manila’s Dr. Lilia Dino Bautista, Kumon Philippines’ Yoyie Angeles and the Philippine Mental Health Association’s national executive director Regina de Jesus to share their views on child development and parenting techniques.

In addition, Kumon will be hosting a free parenting and public education seminar at Cinema 4 of SM City Cagayan De Oro from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. If you’re interested to attend, please let us know so we can have you registered prior to the free seminar.

We think your avid readers will be interested to know what these industry experts’ points of view on parenting. We hope this piques your interest as well.

We hope you won’t mind if I contact you in the next couple of days to follow up on your confirmation for our working lunch.

Looking forward to your soonest response.

Truly Yours,

Kristine

I read the email at 3am on Sunday, because I was too busy since September 1.. UGH! Having no house help is way too stressful for me. I am doing everything and I get tired easily now. Haven’t even checked emails.. I would have gone there because I know it would be fun and filled with learning for parents and bloggers alike… And Lili will benefit from it…
