Birthdays are always fun. , however, it is not always that kids get to celebrate birthdays the way they want their birthdays to be celebrated… That is why mommies like me do our best to meet everything for the best celebration for the kiddies… Actually, first time mommies have jitters during the first birthday party. But for mommies who have had the experience, would usually smile and relax as they already know what to do… And some, because they have extra hand, would only sit and watch how the party happens… wow for them…

During Lili’s first birthday, we were living in Cebu. I was working at Convergys working the night shift… It was a blessing that my parents were there because they assisted me in making it memorable for Lili. Actually we did not have any party as we did not know any other kid or kids in our building, but we have already planned a kiddie party when we arrive here in CDO. The usual tenants at the Kingston Tower are students and young Professionals– and we don’t really see each other in the building. No families really. The closest contact we have is the building manager who also has her own secret world, lol… So what we did in order to celebrate it is buy the foodies. We ordered Lechon de leche and with it came the Dinuguan already. We bought Pansit Malabon and a simple Disney Characters Cake. And that’s it! Turned out to be a simple family dinner in Cebu. But of course, over the weekend, we had a beach party here in Cagayan de Oro. That was June 28 then we boarded the ship home on the 29th and arrived on the 30th. Actually, her Dora first birthday party cake was from Angelika’s in Cebu. We brought it and all the other treats with us already because we knew we wont have time to order the cake here. Although the Lechon and all other foodies that were pre-ordered were simply scheduled to be fetched or delivered the same day we arrived. Upon arrival, we only had a few minutes to spend at home to get beach stuff and off we went to our favorite spot at Roan Beach. Visitors came and soon, it was a blast—

Lili celebrated her first birthday twice, lol… One in Cebu and the other, here in Cagayan de Oro City… Truly memorable, don’t you think so?
