AMAZING THAILAND PHOTOS

Friday, July 31st, 2009

I have never been to Thailand, but I have heard of so many great stories about how beautiful Thailand is… When I saw pictures of my Aunt who lived there with her family, I saw how colorful the said paradise is… Makes me want to take the next flight and fly over there… Hahaha, I wish— That would take a whole lot of adjustments, not to mention responsibilities that needs to be aligned before leaving… Seriously, although I think about it, I try hard not to let it go over my head. I have so much unfinished business, hehehe… Anyway, I can always look at pictures anytime I want to… Take for example the royalty free photos of Thailand that I discovered just recently… Their takes are oh so good, looking at the pictures seem like you are also there…

I just love the photos they share. They have hi resolution photos and all those manipulated ones too… No matter how you see the photos shared, it’s beautiful Thailand that you see. The people, places, food and all others. Plus some photos taken from ordinary lives and living of the citizens in beautiful Thailand.. Such pictures actually depict the culture and traditions in photos…

Whew— that’s what I can afford for now, photos.. soon, it will be the real thing! Thanks www.thailandimpression.com for sharing… Love your photos…

HELP IN ANYWAY—

Thursday, July 30th, 2009
This is a repost from Sana’s blog.. I know Queenie personally because she is my sister‘s friend. What they went through is not fair. I am reposting this in the hope that some US readers of this post can help them, in anyway…

The incident happened a long time ago— May 25, 2006 but until now, the Velasco family still needs help to clear out their names. Right now they can’t find decent jobs because of the case they were NEVER convicted with prior to the pediatrician’s findings. Allan and Queenie Velasco were arrested and charged with child neglect for not seeking immediate attention for their child’s minor injury. Queenie was arrested at the hospital where they took Carmela, their child, and Allan was dragged out of their Jersey City home with the full view of the neighbors – dragged out and cuffed without a chance to wear shoes or jacket, and wasn’t given a chance to get his cellphone or wallet.

Read the full story here – a scanned newspaper article of their story: (click images to enlarge)

Here’s pictures of Mela way before the incident:

The family wants to thank the following people:

EVERYTHING AT SHOPWIKI

Monday, July 27th, 2009

Have you heard about ShopWiki? Well, I was surfing through google, searching for the latest gadgets and online finds till I came about the site. And if you have not done so yourself, I suggest you do so. ShopWiki is the new trend in shopping for information for items you are interested in. Kind like the “google for shopping”, lol… It actively seeks out every store on the internet in a same way that Google finds every web site, by crawling the web. Traditional shopping sites will only show you stores that have paid them for linking to their stores, but ShopWiki does more than that. In fact, if you need information about certain things, they can also generate information as to its importance, use and value— whether you purchase or not. Isn’t it great? Take for example, a guy who seeks information about camping backpacks and outdoor emergency equipment. ShopWiki will generate information as to what gear and equipment are available in the market and their usage.

My search in the site have led me to see the different shoes available online. And I was really impressed with the selection. In fact, I am also happy because now I learned the specific use for each kind of shoe. See, I grew up in a culture where sneakers do not really serve their purpose. I read from Wiki that it’s not just for walking or playing around during Physical Activities. In fact, I have learned the difference between ordinary running shoes and trail running shoes, not to mention the real use for hiking boots. Amazing. Obviously they are different, but here in the Philippines, we are not so keen as to knowing the difference. And here’s what I really can’t forget from Wiki… I learned that when you go biking, bike shoes are necessary. Thanks Wiki!

By the way, if you have not had the opportunity to see the website, simply visit www.shopwiki.com and see what I mean… Whether you are shopping for real deals or simply wish to browse around (online window shopping, lol…), it is a good place for all searches—-
