FUN IN THE RAIN…

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009
We started the month of May with Fun…Lili and I had fun in the rain that day… I think it’s her first time to bath in the rain at home… Well, whenever we go to the beach and it rains, we do get wet in the rain… we do not have a choice right? But that time, it was I who told her we should bath in the rain.. just the two of us… It was fun… Outside our gate, the Balulang National High School Band members were inside the bahay kubo so as not to get wet while practising for last Sunday’s Araw ng Barangay Balulang. So while we could hear the band playing, Lili was dancing… Then whenever they stopped we’d continue playing batman and robin in the bat mobile… So we circled round and round in the front yard… we were laughing so hard… Besa, our house help took pictures of us…
So what’s a 33 year old doing with a 3 year old in the rain? Bonding with my little wonder… I will cherish this moment with my best friend forever…

HAND PROTECTION, SELF PRESERVATION…

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009
I always believe that we mothers should preserve ourselves because we do so many important roles in the lives of the people around us. Self preservation is not only keeping yourself from major problems, but also includes the preservation of the minor. But what could be minor to us? It seems that every part of our body serves a purpose already.  Take for instance, our hands. If something happens to it, there are so many tasks that will not be done. So we take measures. We use gadgets to ease everything. Make things simpler, more efficient and safe for us and the family. From the simplest task to the humongous effort we exert, we must take precaution. So, let’s see… If coffee is hot, what do you do?  I would not need a coffee cup sleeve to protect my hand if I am just lounging with nothing else to do. But, on days that I need to move like I am some super hero, I would definitely need one. That is one very good example. If we make a makeshift coffee sleeve out of folded handkerchief or a used clothing, or rug, for the coffee cup used, it will endanger yourself and the persons you will accidentally bump. I am not making generalizations that when we rush we bump… NO.. But that can not be avoided sometimes.  Sometimes, the coffee cup itself slips due to a slippery wet hand… Anyway, sharing here what I saw at posylane.com that could really be useful, protective, not to mention fashionable for all of us mommies on the run… I am referring to the coffee sleeves I mentioned earlier.  They can look as fashionable as the owner. lol… Really now.. I am not kidding…

Look at the photo if you don’t believe me. Protection and fashion is indeed a good combination…

INTERPRET THIS DREAM:

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

It was weird. He was smiling. I just gave birth. It was like he was the one who let the baby out. I could still see the umbilical cord… It was long and uncut yet, but he, with the baby in his arms, wiping and cleaning the baby up, stood far across…must be very long the umbilical cord then huh? lol… Anyway, while doing the cleaning up, he was smiling. His eyes happy and twinkling as if he anticipated the birth. Then another setting flashed and a woman was complaining… She said that he paid for everything that needed to be paid, but he is nowhere to be found… I woke up because I needed to pee….

This never happened in real life…

Anyway, in Gestalt Therapy, interpreting this dream would mean that there is a new beginning, as signified by birth. A new beginning that will make him happy as can be drawn from the smiling face with matching twinkling eyes…Then someone took the baby and he was now erasing his name that was plastered on the wall. Kinda like a sticker of some sort that is scratched and needs replacement…And he was happy doing it too… But the next scene which is a complete opposite of all that is something I can not really interpret, even using the psychoanalytic approach… Pardon me for such terms but they are just what I can remember from the Dream Analysis and Dream Interpretation Workshops we had back in my Psychology Days…

What does it mean then? Could it be that I am also referring to our case? That he will be acquitted and enjoy a better life rather than the expected outcome? Or is it a sign that he will be escaping his responsibilities as well as escape the punishment by moving away without a trace?
