Do you know any person practising paganism? If not, then I am inviting you to join a pagan chat site to meet someone who does. A pagan is always known to non pagans as non Christians, or non Buddhists, or non etc… Most often misunderstood and discriminated. Well, the only ones who do that are those who do not fully understand what paganism means…A pagan is more likely to be found in pagan chat rooms for the very reason that most of the people in the room have a common point of view. A common ground for discussion. Although, there may be different forms of practise, paganism is one and the same in the belief in the mystical and magical aspects of life. Depicting the divine in life’s everyday scene, and healing can be done by some special rituals. Being in pagan chat rooms gives a solid definition of one’s identity.
As I joined other pagans in the free pagan chat rooms, I discovered that all countries all over the world have a history of pagan worship. The belief in the divine has always been existing long before the new religions came. Good for those who are able to preserve the culture and tradition they have grown up in. Paganism is depicted by their specific pagan rituals, merged in the everyday activities of a pagan. It is only when colonizers came that new religions were introduced. Here in the Philippines, Christianity was introduced when the Spaniards came, while Islam was also introduced in the other parts of the country. Protestantism was introduced when the Americans came. And of course, many other religions followed. Little by little, pagan worship died, or may exist only through the tribal communities’ rituals. But even the tribal groups have also been influenced by missionaries who frequent their dwellings. Their pagan rituals are now influenced by the new religion that tries to convert the natives so that the culture of the tribal community is challenged.
